Last fall, NBA All-Star Shaquille O’Neal joined Storytime Village in Wichita for its annual Kansas Literacy Festival. “I will believe my dreams! I will become whatever I want to become!” he exclaimed in a call-and-response to the crowd filled with young children and families. The African adage, “it takes a whole village to raise a child" is more important than ever to support our students, especially in underserved communities, to believe in their dreams and become whatever they wish to become. We rely on your support to provide the programming and resources they need to reach their full potential. Now more than ever, we need you to be the village and support learning resources, access to books, and literacy programming during a time that it is needed most.

When children read, we all succeed. That is why Storytime Village is making a long-term commitment to distribute 1 Million books to preschool and kindergarten students in Kansas. With your support, we will provide early learners with free books to build their home libraries and improve their literacy outcomes.
